I've got the itch again...the font buying itch.
There are have been so many lovely new fonts coming out, and I've been working on some beautiful custom designs which make me want to use beautiful fonts. I love fonts.
Here are some fonts that I'm swooning over right now.
Brownstone is a popular, fun, sans serif that is on sale for only $83. Not only do you get the font, but you get all of the amazing frames as well. Or, if you don't need the whole package, by the pieces separately for under $25 each.
Air is a fun new font. I love the big, round letters, and could totally see it on a birthday party invitation. It's now on sale for $63 for all 5 fonts.
Jacques & Gilles is all the rage right now. It's a brand new calligraphy font from Emily Lime and is only $17! Emily Lime always releases fonts for super great prices before they go "main stream". Usually fonts start at $70+, so run over and catch this one before it hits the big time!
Reina is a beautiful typeface that blends calligraphy with bold, serif type. I love that I can't pinpoint the exact style, which makes me feel like I could use it in a variety of designs. It has TONS of buying options, with prices starting at $22, so do some research before figuring our which one will suite you the most.
Enjoy your font shopping everybody!

Font Lust :: Bargain Fonts
Some women buy shoes, some women buy bags, some women buy clothes, and some women buy fonts.
I buy all of the above.
But, in my defense, I really do look for a good deal when I buy things.
Today I bring you a lot of good deals. Font bargains are the best!
So many people don't know that fonts need to be purchased, and they aren't cheap - which makes font sales that much more satisfying.
Here are some of the fonts I've been lusting over, at super, super good prices:
The above is Daphne - all 12 (yes, I just said TWELVE) fonts are on sale for a total of $25! It comes with a variety of font back drops, textures, etc. Daphne is a fun, bold font that's super versatile - could be used for announcements, headlines, text and anything else.
Up next we have Merced, which is on sale for $55 for two fonts. I love how thin and sleek this font is, with the fun shapes thrown in there.
Now we have Mishka, which is on sale for $38. I love the casual script and I really love all the ornaments that come with this font. I'm a sucker for ornaments, which is ironic because I don't really use them often in my designs.
Dada Slab might be my favorite find of the day. It's on sale for just $10 and it really reminds me of Archer, which is one of the most classic and widely used fonts among designers. However, Archer will set you back anywhere from $150-$400!! YIKES! I personally don't own Archer yet, and while it's on my wishlist, I'm perfectly happy with Dada Slab and it's $10 price tag!
Mr. Moustache is a super fun font with tons of options available! It costs around $10 per font set, with over 5 font set options and a whole bunch of frame and ornament sets as well. This is definitely one of the finalists on my "must have" list for today!
The best part about purchasing new fonts is they always inspire new designs! I can't wait to start using some of the above!

Area Rug Bargains!
Yesterday while the men were finishing up some demo work in the kitchen, my mom and I sneaked away for a little while to find some area rugs. We went to our favorite store, Home Goods, and hit the total JACKPOT! After 45 minutes we managed to find two area rugs, plus a dresser. I didn't have room in the car for the dresser, but there's a good chance I'll be back at the store today to pick it up.
The first rug I purchased is an orange area rug. I love orange. Actually, you may remember this post, where I lusted over an orange dhurrie rug from West Elm. Well, the rug I purchased is a look a-like, and it was originally $150, but I had gift cards and snagged the rug for only $87! SCORE!!!
The second rug I purchased was an impulse buy. I have this ongoing joke with my husband were I find crazy things at stores and send him pictures asking to buy them. I like crazy things, and need to test the waters. Let it be known that I have never purchased something my husband hated, his opinion matters a boatload to me, this is his home too! Anyway, I found a crazy rug - I loved the pattern, but it's crazy. So, for shits and giggles, I snapped a pick and sent it to the husband. I didn't think he's like it, so I actually purchased the orange rug and left the store. My husband called me when I was in the car driving away to say he LOVED the crazy rug! HA! So I turned the car around and bought the crazy rug. It's a discontinued Ralph Lauren for Safavieh that was marked down from $900 to $400, but then it was mislabeled as on sale for $300. After speaking with the manager, and only $300 later, that sucker was in my trunk. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but it's in our master bedroom. It's crazy!
Well this is the one from West Elm that I wanted, but never purchased because I missed the sale and refused to pay full price (I'm cheap like that):
And here are the two rugs we got from Home Goods:
We might play around with the two rugs in other rooms. What are your thoughts? Have I lost my mind completely???
